Obama Signs Healthcare Bill

President Obama signed into law the health care reform bill, America’s most substantial social legislation in four decades, achieving a top priority of his administration.

The jubilant signing ceremony capped a political victory for Obama.   The bill has ignited a political fight that promises to entangle the bill’s future in the courts. 

Republicans are trying to come up with a strategy that will use this one-sided victory for the Democrats against them in the fall.
